Sometime in the middle of October our class went to Beaumont House. Beaumont House was owned by the Guinness family. Richard Guinness, father of Arthur Guinness, had three sons including Arthur. Arthur married Olivia Whitmore and had 21 children 10 of whom lived. The entrance to Beaumont House was from Kilmore West until Arthur laid the present avenue linking the house with Goose Green. Goose Green Avenue, now called Grace Park Road, was named after a township in South East London. Arthur the second was born at St. James's Gate in 1768. Arthur the Second married his cousin Anne and had nine children. Arthur also had 40 nieces and nephews. After visiting Beaumont House we visited sister Madeline, a friend of Ms. Keogh's.
