Our class did plays 'as Gaeilge' for Seachtain na Gaeilge. We performed and recorded over seven plays. We were put into groups to do separate plays. We were given our lines in September so we could practise our parts for Seachtain na Gaeilge.
We had a lot of props for our plays such as;horses, boats, money bags, beds, cakes, eggs, umbrellas and bagels. We thought that it would be a lot more fun than reading and learning them. There were characters like a king,a guard, children and teachers. We spent over a week practising and recording our plays. We spent about a day on each play.We all thought it was a fun way to learn Gaeilge. It was very hard learning our lines because they were in Irish.
We entered the Seachtain na Gaeilge Irish competition. It took 2 weeks to finish our plays for Seachtain na Gaeilge.About four and a half weeks later ,we received certificates from Conradh na Gaeilge congratulating us on our plays. We learnt the words in a fun way, not like just reading and learning them we acted them out when we knew our 'script'!.After we recorded our stories, Ms.Keogh uploaded the videos on to the laptop. We watched them on the interactive whiteboard and really enjoyed them.It was fun and I hope we do it again.
